Urbana Local House Shows

I entered the local house show scene in Urbana with my roommates by offering our residence as a venue for local bands.

I helped to organize sound equipment, communicate with bands, and handle expenses for the shows. I also worked with another sound engineer during setup to plan inputs and outputs for the musicians. Finally, I ran the social media on instagram, @live_at_the_mirror, to garner interest and highlight performing artists.

This was an extremely fun experience because we were able to organize with touring bands from Chicago and allow people to experience live music right in our own house. The community is extremely friendly and very talented.
